Vol. 147 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flour and Bread Subsidies.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will have the present profits of the flour and bread millers investigated with a view to ascertaining whether the payment of subsidies on these commodities is justified.

The profits which are made by millers and bakers are the subject of continuous investigation. The level of profits permitted in the milling and baking industries is not related to the question of subsidy.
