asked the Minister for Defence if he will arrange (i) to have the Southern Command, F.C.A., platoon competitions for 1955 held in Ballymullen Barracks, Tralee, and (ii) to have these barracks used as a training centre for the Kerry section of the F.C.A. in 1955.
Ceisteann—Questions. Oral Answers. - F.C.A. Competitions.
The answers to both parts of the question are in the negative.
Adequate facilities for the competitions and training mentioned by the Deputy are available in the existing permanently occupied military posts in the Southern Command and there would be no justification for the expenditure involved in providing those facilities to the same extent at Tralee.
