Vol. 147 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Loans for Flood Relief.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state if the scheme for interest-free loans for flooded areas applies to the flooded areas of the Foerish and Moy Rivers in County Sligo; further, if he will request the Commissioners of Public Works to examine the possibility of having the rocks removed from these rivers in the near future.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will extend the scheme for interest-free loans to include farmers along the River Moy, and in any other districts similarly flooded.

As Questions Nos. 33 and 34 relate to the same subject, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take them together.

Reports on exceptional flooding in all areas are in the process of preparation, and will be considered by the Government when completed.

I am having Deputy Gilbride's request conveyed to the Commissioners of Public Works.
