Vol. 147 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New Cork Sanatorium.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state when it is expected that the regional sanatorium at Sarsfield's Court, Cork, will be completed, whether final arrangements have been made for the appointment of medical, nursing and domestic staff, and for the provision of furniture and equipment for the hospital, and when patients are likely to be admitted to completed portions of the hospital.

It is expected that the regional sanatorium at Sars-field Court will be completed during the coming year. It is hoped that a major section of the sanatorium will be available for occupation by patients and staff in the spring. Arrangements are being made for the supply of necessary furniture and equipment in good time.

Final arrangements have not yet been completed for the appointment of medical, nursing and domestic staff, but steps are in train for the provision of the necessary staff which will be available for the opening of the institution.
