asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the location and number of satellite telephone exchanges on the outskirts of Dublin for which (a) sites have been acquired, (b) working drawings have been completed, (c) contract documents have been prepared, (d) tenders have been invited, (e) tenders have been accepted, (f) work is in progress, and (g) work will be completed within the current financial year.

Sites or premises for automatic telephone exchanges have been acquired or agreement reached for their acquisition at Whitehall, Dundrum, Foxrock, Palmerstown, Lucan, Celbridge, Walkinstown, Portmarnock and Rush/Lusk.
Building operations at Whitehall, Foxrock and Celbridge will be completed within the current financial year but installation of telephone equipment will not be completed until a later date.
