Vol. 147 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Train Services to West.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware of the hardships caused to travellers on the Westland Row—West of Ireland route on 31st July last because of the inadequacy of the train services provided, and, if so, if he will request C.I.E. to provide relief trains, when necessary, in addition to the specially augmented services at Christmas and holiday week-ends.

The responsibility for providing adequate public transport rests on the Board of C.I.E. Any representations in the matter should, therefore, be made direct to the board.
