Vol. 147 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Industry.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state whether a decision has yet been reached as to whether a fish meal plant, a quick freeze plant or an ice plant should be established at Ballycotton, County Cork.

No decision as to the provision at Ballycotton of facilities of the kind mentioned has been made but I understand that An Bord Iascaigh Mhara have the question of the need for such facilities at various centres around the coast, including Ballycotton, under consideration.

The Deputy was in office for 20 years and he did not do very much about it.
