The person referred to in the Deputy's question is paid out of public funds in respect of the appointment which he holds as Private Secretary to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Government.
I might add that the officer was incorrectly described in the Press report to which the Deputy refers. He has held no post in any political organisation since his appointment as Private Secretary on the 24th June last.
