Vol. 148 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compensation for Flooding.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the extensive damage caused by the flooding of 8th December, 1954, to houses, gardens, business houses and factories in County Dublin, and, if so, if he will treat this area in the same manner as Dublin City for compensation purposes.

The Grant-in-Aid provided by An Dáil in the Vote for Local Government relates to the alleviation of distress caused by the flooding in Dublin City. No funds have been provided for me by Dáil Éireann for compensation purposes mentioned in the Deputy's question.
