Vol. 148 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Service Medals and Allowances.

asked the Minister for Defence whether persons, who now apply for service medals, are eligible for special allowances under the Army Pensions Acts, and, if not, if he will take steps, if necessary by the introduction of proposals for legislation, to have them rendered so eligible.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative.

As to the second part, I have no such proposals under consideration at the present time.
