Vol. 148 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Duties of Attorney-General.

asked the Taoiseach if the Attorney-General is required to give his full time to the duties of his office, and, if so, if he will explain how this obligation is reconciled with the retention by him of a post as Professor in the Faculty of Law in University College, Dublin.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative and the second part of the question does not accordingly arise.

I might add that, so far as I am aware, it has never been made a condition of the appointment of an Attorney-General that he should be required to give his full time to the duties of his office.
