Vol. 148 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Coast Charts.

asked the Minister for Defence whether the British Admiralty has recently announced the permanent withdrawal of certain Irish coast charts, viz. Nos. 1528, 2068, 2338, 2705, 2886, 3275, and 3444, and, if so, if he will make a statement on the effect of this withdrawal on the utilisation of the harbours and anchorages concerned, and whether the Government proposes to take any action in the matter.

I am aware that the British Admiralty have notified the permanent withdrawal of charts Nos. 1528, 2068, 2338, 2705, 2886, 3275 and 3444.

In consultation with the Minister for Industry and Commerce I am considering the effect of this withdrawal on the use of the harbours and anchorages concerned.
