Vol. 148 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Health Act, 1953.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state in respect of each health authority (a) the estimated total population, (b) the number of persons on the medical register under the Health Act, 1953, at the latest convenient date, and (c) the number of dependents of the persons referred to in (b) above.

I asked health authorities recently to state the number of persons (including dependents) in their functional areas included in the general medical services register. The returns are not yet complete, but if the Deputy will be good enough to repeat his question in a couple of weeks, I hope to be able to furnish him with the information he requires.
