The latest available information regarding the area of land taken in conacre or on 11-months' lettings, relates to the year 1950 when the acreage of such land taken for tillage constituted 0.63 per cent. and that taken for grazing was 4.72 per cent. of the total area of crops and pasture. It is proposed to obtain the corresponding particulars in respect of the year 1955 at the June agricultural statistics enumeration.
