Vol. 149 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Bull Applications.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of applications received from West Galway for Aberdeen Angus bulls, and the number it is proposed to supply.

Presumably the question relates to my Department's scheme for the location of bulls on special terms in the congested districts.

The number of applications for Aberdeen Angus bulls under this scheme, received so far this season from West Galway, is 25. Ten such bulls have already been supplied and, if circumstances permit, it may be possible to supply one or two more.
