Vol. 149 No. 4

Supplementary Estimates—Leave to Introduce.

I move:—

That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary Estimates for the service of the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1955, namely:—

Votes No.—

27 (Agriculture),

38 (Local Government),

46 (National Gallery),

48 (Forestry),

54 (Posts and Telegraphs),

56 (Defence).

Leave granted.

The Agriculture and Local Government Supplementary Estimates, Votes 27 and 38, will be circulated this evening. Would the Opposition agree to take them tomorrow?

Mr. Lemass

Yes.

Might I ask Deputy Lemass whether the Opposition would be prepared to dispose of the two Industry and Commerce Supplementary Estimates on the understanding that if it is desired to raise the subject-matter, it can be raised on the main Estimate?

Mr. Lemass

On the understanding the Minister will make his explanatory statement.

But we need not hold them up until the main Estimate is disposed of?

Mr. Lemass

Very well.
