I do not intervene to give instructions or make requests as to the material that should be included in broadcasting programmes except where important matters of policy are involved. In this case I understand the Director of Broadcasting feels that the existing facilities are ample for getting information about betting prices.
I am not satisfied at all with that reply. Would the Minister not agree that giving racing results for people who are interested is of very little benefit unless the people also get the price of the horse?
