Vol. 150 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney Mental Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health what action has been taken in regard to the provision of a grant for the improvements necessary to relieve overcrowding in the Killarney Mental Hospital; further, whether it is proposed to improve the accommodation and other amenities of the staff, especially so far as the male and female attendants are concerned.

There is no provision in the present hospital building programme for a grant towards the cost of providing buildings for the relief of overcrowding at Killarney Mental Hospital. In view of the pressing problem here and at some other mental hospitals, I am considering the position specially but I am not yet in a position to indicate the result.
