Vol. 150 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Chairs.

asked the Taoiseach if chairs made from wood have been imported during the past year, and, if so, if he will state (a) the number imported, (b) their classification, (c) their approximate value, and (d) their countries of origin.

It is not possible to furnish the information asked for by the Deputy, since imports are brought to account according to the heading of the Official List, which does not separately distinguish "chairs made of wood". An examination of customs documents for such imports has revealed that the descriptions given therein are not sufficient to enable the information to be obtained by a special compilation.
