Vol. 150 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Suir Tributaries.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that large tracts of land in Tipperary are rendered almost useless because the tributaries of the Suir require to be drained, and, if so, if he will arrange for the necessary drainage operations.

The River Suir and its tributaries will be dealt with by way of a comprehensive scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, but I cannot at this stage say when such a scheme can be undertaken.
