Vol. 150 No. 12

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Mental Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to commence repairs to the Waterford Mental Hospital.

The scheme of repairs proposed for the hospital is being carried out in four stages; the first stage, repairs to the dining hall and other parts of the centre block has been completed; the second stage which consists of repairs to the kitchen, laundry and boilerhouse is in progress at present. The local authority's outline proposals for the next two stages, comprising repairs to the main buildings of the hospital, have been submitted to my Department and as soon as further technical information has been supplied and the financial arrangements in relation to the scheme settled the remainder of the work can be put to tender.
