Mr. Lemass

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what percentage of total imports on private account from countries which are members of O.E.E.C., calculated by reference to trade in 1948, is subject to quantitative restrictions.

It is estimated that 9.8 per cent. of imports on private account from O.E.E.C. member countries in the year 1948 were subject to quantitative restrictions.
