Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Resumption.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to resume the entire holding of John Deskin, Belclare, County Galway, and, if not, why not.

The Land Commission had under consideration the acquisition of the holding formerly owned by John Deskin in Thomastown and Carrowntemple and having carefully examined it they decided to take no action.

The Land Commission are, however, examining the position regarding a small parcel which Mr. Deskin occupies in Carrowntemple and which was originally let to another party under temporary agreement.

asked the Minister for Lands what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the resumption of the lands of the representatives of Martin Fallon (Record No. S. 20962), Derrymacloughna, Turloughmore, County Galway.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of these lands, but they are as yet in the early stages.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the holding of Patrick M. Garvey (Record No. S. 20976), Timicat, County Galway, and, if not, what is the cause of the delay.
