Vol. 151 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Nurseries.

asked the Minister for Lands whether workers in forestry nurseries are entitled to wet-time pay.

The Department's wet-time regulations are applied to all forestry workers irrespective of the nature of work on which they may be engaged.

If the Minister became aware of certain instances where such is not now in operation, would he have the matter investigated and put right? I can give the Minister information privately in regard to such an instance.

There are no nurseries at which the men do not get wet-time pay.

I can give information to the Minister——

I will investigate it.

Would the Minister not agree that any breach of the wet-time regulations of his Department would be caused by local administration?

That would be so, but I am not aware of any breach.
