Vol. 151 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Army Personnel—Housing.

andJ. Lynch asked the Minister for Defence if, in view of the housing needs of many members of the Defence Forces in Cork and the very large numbers on the waiting list for Cork Corporation houses, he will introduce a scheme for the provision of housing for Army personnel stationed in Cork.

The question of the provision of houses for Army personnel stationed in Cork is under consideration as part of a scheme to improve the housing conditions of married soldiers at the larger military centres.

I am unable at this stage to state when such houses will be erected.
