Vol. 151 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Widows' Contributory Pension Regulations.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether he has yet decided to make alterations in the regulations which preclude a widow in receipt of a contributory pension from receiving full unemployment benefit during any period she might be unemployed and signing at the employment exchange.

I have not yet decided this matter. The Deputy will understand that there is a general principle involved and that disability benefit and widows' non-contributory pensions are affected as well as the benefits specified in the question.
