Vol. 151 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Road Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the amount made available to the Wexford County Council for road work in the year 1954-55, and the amount to be made available in the current financial year.

It is presumed that the Deputy's question relates to grants from the Road Fund towards road works in Wexford County. These grants in 1954-55 amounted to £141,150 and amount to £155,150 for the current financial year. A National Development Fund grant of £26,000 was made available through the Road Fund to the county council last year. A Road Fund grant is also available for Wexford bridge when the work is ready to be undertaken.
