Vol. 151 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mental Nurses' Superannuation.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that a number of male nurses in Portrane Mental Hospital desire to have the Mental Treatment Act, 1945, amended in a manner which will enable them to have the benefit of the superannuation scheme, and, if so, if he will introduce the necessary amending legislation.

This matter is being considered in connection with proposals for legislation to amend the Mental Treatment Act, 1945. I cannot indicate at present when I may be in a position to introduce these proposals.
