Vol. 152 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Civil Servants: Political Activities.

asked the Minister for Finance whether there is any order or regulation prohibiting civil servants from taking part in the activities of political Parties, and, if so, what is the nature thereof, and whether there are any exemptions.

The behaviour expected of civil servants in relation to political matters is laid down in a Department of Finance circular dated 3rd June, 1932.

Is that regulation available?

I shall certainly send a copy of it to the Deputy if he wishes.
