I have received no representations regarding the urgent need for installing piped water and sewerage facilities in the cottages mentioned. The cottages are owned by Dublin Corporation who were informed by my Department in April, 1951, that no objection in principle would be raised to the provision therein of piped water and sewerage services. I have been unable to ascertain any specific reasons for the delay in dealing with the matter since then, but I am informed that the preparation of a scheme is now being undertaken.
