Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prices of Commodities.

Mr. Lemass

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the commodities in respect of which recommendations regarding prices have been submitted to him by the Prices Advisory Body and on which he has not yet announced his decision, and (b) the commodities which are at present under examination by the Prices Advisory Body.

I have under consideration recommendations made by the Prices Advisory Body regarding the prices of cigarettes and tobaccos, beer, porter, stout and whiskey.

The Prices Advisory Body are at present examining the prices of gas and coal in Dublin and the prices generally of newspapers and fertilisers.
