Up to the 15th October the quantity of wheat of the 1955 crop purchased by flour millers was 2,143,281 barrels. As the average yield of wheat of the 1955 crop has not yet been determined it is not possible to estimate the percentage of the crop represented by the mill intake or the balance remaining on farmers' hands.
