Vol. 153 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erosion and Flooding.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has considered proposals for the issue of a grant from the National Development Fund for the protection, from erosion and flooding, of some 1,500 acres of land stretching from Warren, Ballymacoda, to Ballycotton, and, if so, with what result.

Cork County Council have not submitted any proposals for the planning and carrying out of coast protection works in the area in question. I understand that they do not consider themselves liable for the execution of any such scheme. In the circumstances there are no effective proposals before me for consideration.
