asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (a) the number of permanent and temporary fish filleters employed by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara at the Dublin depot in the past year, and (b) the number of firms engaged on behalf of the board to fillet fish in the year ended 31st March, 1955, indicating the quantity and class of fish so handled.

I am informed by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara that a regular staff of ten filleters including three apprentice filleters was employed at its Dublin depot in the year ended 31st March, 1955, and that in addition up to eight temporary filleters were employed as required. Three outside firms were engaged on behalf of the board to fillet fish during the period in question, and 5,650 stones of whiting were so handled.
