Vol. 153 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Swimming Baths.

asked the Minister for Local Government what proposals exist for the erection of swimming baths at Rathmines, Dublin, and if he will state the estimated cost of the project; further, whether proposals for the erection of baths in the Crumlin, Kimmage or Drimnagh areas have been submitted to his Department.

I am informed that An Coisde Sláinte of Dublin Corporation have under consideration sketch plans in connection with a proposal, which has been adopted in principle by the city council, for the erection of swimming baths at Williams Park, Rathmines, and that the estimated cost is now stated to be about £350,000. No proposals have been submitted to the Department for baths in the other areas mentioned.
