Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the number of new housing grants fully paid in (a) Dublin and (b) the remainder of the State during 1954 and 1955.

The numbers of grants fully paid in 1954 and 1955 in respect of new houses built by private enterprise in Dublin City were 869 and 1,319, respectively. Grants were fully paid in respect of 3,924 and 3,554 new private houses in the remainder of the State during the years 1954 and 1955, respectively.
