Vol. 155 No. 1

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 9, 10 and 11 as on the Order Paper. Private Deputies' business will be taken at 9 o'clock.

Has the Taoiseach any information as to when the Book of Estimates will be circulated?

I cannot give exact information at the moment. There are printing difficulties and matters of that kind. I will communicate with the Deputy at the earliest possible moment and let him know.

Might I ask the Taoiseach if the Book of Estimates will be circulated in time for the Vote on Account to be taken and finished within the required statutory period?

I am afraid I cannot hear what the Deputy is saying.

If the Book of Estimates is not circulated sufficiently early to enable the Vote on Account to be taken and passed within the required statutory period through both Houses, is it proposed to have late sittings in order to get through the work?

I am hopeful the Book of Estimates will be circulated in time to have the necessary legislation passed.

The Taoiseach is aware there is a time limit.

I know that. I am fully alive to that.

Then we will have to sit all night I suppose. We do not mind, but we want to get notice so that we can make arrangements accordingly.

The Deputy is in very bad humour to-day.
