asked the Minister for Defence whether a decision has been taken recently withdrawing Army officers from service with An Fórsa Cosanta Aitiúil, and, if so, if he will state the reasons therefor; further, whether, in view of the resultant hardship for married personnel and the danger of a deterioration in the efficiency of the force, he will have the decision reviewed.

It has been decided to return to service with regular troops, officers who, for long periods, have been engaged on duties with An Fórsa Cosanta Aitiúil.
This decision was made in the best interests of the officers themselves and of An Fórsa and it is not proposed to review it.
