Vol. 155 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo Turbary Plots.

asked the Minister for Lands when it will be possible to provide turbary plots for the tenants of the townlands of Enniscor, Mullenmore and Bengeany, Crossmolina district, and if the Land Commission will consider the propriety of acquiring the bog lands offered by Mr. T. Naughton, Cloughbrack, and the representatives of Mr. P. Fergus, Knockroe, which would provide convenient turbary for the townlands in question.

The tenants in the townlands mentioned by the Deputy have declined to accept turbary on the bogs available for allotment in the area. The possibility of acquiring other sources of supply in the locality is at present being investigated.
