Vol. 155 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford Water Supply Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received proposals in regard to a water supply scheme for Poulnagunogue, Derrinlaur, Scrouthea, Kilmacomma, Russelstown and Kilmanahan, County Waterford, and, if so, what is the present position in the matter.

I have received no proposals in regard to a water supply scheme for the places named in the Deputy's question, but I have received representations from Waterford County Council regarding the supply of water to Russelstown, Kilmanahan and three other areas from a regional scheme being promoted by two adjoining sanitary authorities. The county council have been informed that this is a matter for consideration by these authorities in the first instance.
