Vol. 156 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Telephone Kiosk.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether arrangements were made a short time ago by his Department to provide a telephone kiosk at Ballyhahill, County Limerick; whether the proposal is not now being proceeded with, and, if so, why.

It was proposed to provide a telephone kiosk at Ballyhahill in lieu of the existing call office in the post office there. The proposal was not proceeded with as there was local objection to ceasing the call office. A kiosk at Ballyhahill would have no prospect of paying its way unless the call office were ceased on its provision.
