Vol. 156 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Stud Board.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the term of office of each of the present directors of the Irish National Stud, and the number of meetings of the board held since 1st January, 1955.

In no case does the instrument appointing a director of the Irish National Stud Company specify a term of office, but the Articles of Association of the company require that one of the directors, as determined by the Articles, shall retire from office at the ordinary general meeting every year. A director so retiring is eligible for reappointment.

I am informed that the board of the company held 20 meetings since 1st January, 1955.
