Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have proceedings in progress in connection with the acquisition of the Faulkner estate, Castlecuffe, Clonaslee, Laois, and, if so, when a scheme of distribution will be put into effect.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands, but inquiries are being made about them.

asked the Minister for Lands what progress has been made by the Land Commission since 1st December, 1954, towards the acquisition of untenanted non-residential lands in the Lissyconnor area, near Dunmore, County Galway.

The Land Commission are aware of the position in the Lissyconnor district and are taking such action as is possible. In all, an area of 296 acres, including turbary, has recently been inspected there, but it is not yet possible to state what action can be taken.

I got the same reply from the Minister a year ago.

No, the Deputy did not.
