asked the Minister for Finance if he will state (a) the present number of unit payments per week on the Clare-Corrib catchment area, and (b) the amount of salary paid to the pay clerk on the scheme in each week since 25th June, 1955, and the amount of expenses paid to him in each week since 28th May, 1955.

Following is the reply:—
(a) The present number of unit payments per week on the Corrib-Clare drainage scheme is two.
(b) Payment of remuneration to the pay clerk is made quarterly and payment of expenses is made monthly. The remuneration paid in respect of each week from the 25th June, 1955, and the expenses paid in respect of each week from the 28th May, 1955, to the end of March, 1956, were as follows:—
