Vol. 156 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Cork Lands for Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the present position in relation to the acquisition by compulsory purchase order of lands at (a) Riverstown, (b) Ballincollig, and (c) Blarney, County Cork, for the erection of local authority houses by the Cork County Council.

I have received the report of the inspector who held the public local inquiry into the objection to the acquisition of the land at Riverstown. The acquisition of the lands at Ballincollig and Blarney is unopposed and I have received the reports of the inspector who has investigated their suitability for housing purposes. The three reports are under examination and there will be no undue delay in notifying decisions.
