Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coal Prices.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the present price of coal in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway, and the amount of the contemplated further increase, if any.

The present maximum retail price, per ton, of best household coal in each of the areas mentioned is as follows:—

I am not in a position to state the amount of the contemplated further increase in the price of coal. Any application by the trade for permission to increase prices will be subject to examination by the Prices Advisory Body.
