Applications for reconstruction grants in the Cork City area are appropriate to Section 12 of the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1954, and are dealt with by the Cork Corporation in the first instance. The particulars requested by the Deputy, as supplied by the corporation, are as follows: 106 applications were received in the financial year 1954-55, and 5 were rejected; 255 applications were received in the financial year 1955-56, and 11 were rejected.
