Vol. 157 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Replanting of Wexford Wood.

asked the Minister for Lands whether a wood at Horetown North, Foulksmills, County Wexford, was handed over to the Forestry Division of his Department for replanting two years ago; whether he is aware that there is much fencing and drainage work to be done as the wood lies by the river at Foulksmills, and what is the reason for the delay in carrying out these operations.

My Department has not acquired any property in the townland of Horetown North, County Wexford, so there is no question of any delay such as that referred to in the question.

There is an area of 93 acres in the townlands of Horetown North and Raheenduff on offer to the Department; agreement on price has been reached, but further progress is not possible until a difficulty regarding access to the lands has been resolved.
