Vol. 158 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Employment at Galway Power Station.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether the contract for the erection of an electricity generating station in County Galway contains provision for the recruitment of labour through the local offices of the Department of Social Welfare, and, if so, if he will state whether effect has been given to that provision.

This is a matter of administration, in which I have no function, and any inquiries the Deputy wishes to make should be addressed to the E.S.B.

Is it to the head office or locally?

I suppose the head office is ultimately responsible for matters of policy.
