Vol. 158 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Fish Processing Station.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether proposals for the establishment of a fish processing station at Dunmore East, County Waterford, were formulated by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara, and, if so, whether such proposals were approved for execution without alteration, and whether they are included in the development programme for the current year.

Proposals of the kind referred to by the Deputy have been formulated by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara as part of a long-term development programme. Proposals contained in this programme are not considered for approval until the question of making financial provision for them arises. It is not proposed to proceed with the proposals for Dunmore East in the current financial year and they therefore have not yet been given specific approval.
